We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant with enthusiasm for and experience of working with children with Speech, Language, and Communication needs. This role is to work within both the mainstream and special school teams in Warwickshire. We have established teams of speech and language therapists and therapy assistants who work within these settings.
The post holder will be part of a supportive team including other speech and language therapy assistants and therapists. The role includes:
1. Delivering treatment following written plans.
2. Clearly sharing skills and information with parents and other professionals within the schools.
3. Making and disseminating resources.
4. Traveling independently to various schools across South Warwickshire.
The post-holder will be based in a special educational needs school for 3 days, and traveling to mainstream schools for 2 days.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to Speech and Language Therapists in the delivery of services in a range of settings to children across Warwickshire.
2. Deliver packages of care to children across the county.
3. Develop high quality resources for speech and language therapy interventions.
4. Supervise less experienced staff.
