Part-time (4 days per week) | Maximum term to August 2026 (Parental Leave Cover) Based at Blackburn with work from and travel to other locations as required Your new role The Youth Support Services Program provides case management support to vulnerable young people aged 12-18 years who reside in Residential Care or Lead Tenant settings. The Youth Support Services team also services the Finding Solutions and Adolescent Support Programs, which support parents and young people through a range of creative and flexible intervention strategies. The programs aim to divert young people away from the statutory system and reduce the need for Child Protection involvement. As Team Leader, you will provide effective leadership, supervision and support to a dedicated team of Case Managers and volunteers. The role will work closely with the Home Based Care, Youth Support and Navigator Manager to lead the delivery and ongoing development of high quality, consumer-focused services. The Team Leader will also oversee the recruitment of volunteer lead tenant mentors. Your skills and experience To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a degree qualification in social work, psychology or a related discipline. You will also have: Previous supervisory experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector Sound knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to the child, youth and family, and out of home care sectors Demonstrated ability to form effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a positive team culture Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills View the position description here.
