Greets patients; makes requested referral appointments and performs final insurance related duties that are requested during the patient’s check-out after clinic visit has been completed; answers telephones; determines the nature of the patient’s call and provides requested information or schedules an appointment for the patient with the appropriate physician/health care provider; verifies demographic and insurance information in accordance with policies and procedures; provides support to providers by obtaining pre-certification on procedures and prior authorizations for medications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent
Experience: Prior experience preferred—on-the-job training available
