Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive School Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and parents, handling a variety of administrative duties with professionalism and enthusiasm. You will be responsible for supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in maintaining the school’s administrative systems and ensuring a welcoming and well-organised office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the school’s front office, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and dealing with general enquiries from students, parents, and staff.
* Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, admissions, and safeguarding documentation.
* Coordinate school events, meetings, and appointments, ensuring all logistical details are arranged.
* Support with the preparation of reports, newsletters, and other school communications.
* Assist with finance administration tasks, such as handling petty cash, processing invoices, and managing school supplies.
* Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and teaching staff, including diary management and minute-taking at meetings.
* Ensure the school’s database systems (e.g., SIMS) are up-to-date and compliant with GDPR regulations.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and school management software (e.g., SIMS).
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks.
* A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
