Overview: We are seeking a Conference Production Director to lead and manage a small team of conference producers (3), while also overseeing the production of your own conference campaigns. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on production, and you'll play a pivotal part in shaping the content, speaker line-up, and overall success of our global events. You will also be a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), participate in monthly board meetings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance CeFPro’s mission of driving industry innovation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level conference producer with management experience, looking to step into a more impactful leadership role, with significant influence over the direction and growth of a global event portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Management: Lead and manage a team of three conference producers, ensuring they meet production milestones such as drafting agendas, confirming speakers, and delivering high-quality conference content. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to track progress, resolve challenges, and review work to maintain relevance and quality.
2. Conference Campaign Ownership: Manage 2-3 personal conference campaigns, developing agendas and securing high-caliber speakers through a research-driven production process. Ensure that each campaign aligns with strategic and commercial objectives, with comprehensive post-event analysis to drive future improvements.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful commercialisation, timely delivery of event marketing materials, and seamless event execution.
4. Strategic Planning & Development: Contribute to strategic discussions with the Senior Management Team, providing input on content generation, future events, marketing strategies, and sponsorship opportunities.
5. Content Quality & Innovation: Lead by example in ensuring the team delivers engaging, research-based conference content that represents all key industry stakeholders.
6. Event Marketing & Sponsorship Support: Collaborate with marketing teams to support the creation of attendee marketing campaigns, sponsorship materials, and promotional content.
7. System Monitoring & Process Improvement: Oversee the use and upkeep of key systems and infrastructure that support conference management, ensuring efficient workflow and smooth event production.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in conference production or event content creation, with at least 1 year of management or supervisory experience.
2. Education: Bachelor’s degree in economics, business studies, humanities, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
3. Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
