Grade 4 (without Level 3 in Youth & Community Work)
The Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council Youth Engagement and Participation Service is seeking to recruit an Engagement Support Officer to facilitate the delivery of a high-quality Youth Engagement and Participation (YEP) Service within a particular locality area. The post holder will assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the agreed programme of youth work activity in consultation with young people.
This is a Term Time Role and will include activities that take place in a range of settings in the evenings and during the weekends. There will also be opportunities for overtime during the school holidays. The post holder will need to prepare, deliver, and evaluate learning activities in a range of settings in accordance with the Youthwork Curriculum Strategy as directed by the Team Leader and ensure the wellbeing of young people by adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies.
We are looking to recruit a part-time Engagement Support Officer (permanent) with a minimum Level 3 in Youth and Community work (paid at Grade 6). Alternatively, if you do not have the Level 3 qualification, but you have experience of working with young people and a commitment to driving this agenda forward, we would still welcome your application where we may still be able to offer you a position at Grade 4 with the aim of gaining Level 3 Qualification in the near future.
