Prospero Teaching is looking for an Engagement Coach to work with a school in Poole that offers specialised academic and vocational provision across KS3, KS4, and post-16. Our mission is to reduce barriers to learning and ensure successful educational experiences and outcomes for all students.
As an Engagement Coach, you will play a crucial role in supporting student's school attendance and engagement. You will work directly with students in various settings, including their homes, schools, and the community. Your primary responsibility will be to implement our EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) model, which focuses on gradually decreasing support while increasing student engagement. You will work independently and as part of a dedicated team to proactively support students, assist students in engaging with their learning through remote digital access to lessons.

Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP22,000 - GBP25,000 (Based on experience)

Purpose of the Role:
Modify and adapt activities to advance pupil's learning as necessary.
Contribute to high quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and supporting.
Support students to access online learning where necessary.
Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment and use this knowledge and understanding to extend and challenge pupil's learning.
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting
DBS (on the update service)
Full UK Driving Licence
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
