We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support in delivering an outstanding customer experience by championing and ensuring a first-class experience for all our guests whilst managing the smooth day to day operational running and standards of the restaurant and motivation of the restaurant service.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (5 days over 7).Includes evening and weekend working.
KEY DUTIES:-
* To introduce our guests to this fantastic and unique venue.
* To supervise the activities of the restaurant, ensuring the team are aware of their responsibilities and perform duties to a high standard.
* To be familiar with the days business, restaurant and conference bookings so that you can prepare the team, the department and be ready for action.
* To ensure the restaurant service is smooth and delivered to the highest standards, working closely with the bar and kitchen team.
* To deliver excellent customer service, being a role model to the team demonstrating great hospitality.
* To have a visible presence to ensure that all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively.
* To keep all areas clean and tidy at all times.
* To deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
* Ensuring all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out correctly.
* To continuously work towards improving sales and service.
* To attend weekly meetings to run through upcoming events and conduct daily briefings with your team.
* To ensure a cleaning rota is in place, ensuring all areas are maintained and clean.
* To continually assess individual training needs and action remedies and guidance where needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
* To induct new members of the team introducing practical and theoretical training as per company standards.
KEY SKILLS:-
* Previous restaurant manager experience within a high-level establishment.
* Basic understanding of food preparation.
* Confident in a busy, high end environment.
* Able to remain calm under pressure.
* A leader and team player with the skills to get the most out of the people who work with and for you.
* Able to train, motivate and offer support to your team (to ensure each customer is offered the highest level of customer service).
* Contribute and implement training plans for your team.
* Ability to take ownership and responsibility for the operation.
* Ability to deliver and maintain standards in line with our company vision and values;every time, without compromise.
* Financial understanding of gross profit margins, profitability and managing costs.
* Delivering what you promise to the customer, client and your team.
