Oak Hill is looking to appoint a HLTA to join our friendly, dedicated and hard working team. The hours of work are: Variable 28 ½ - 32 ½ hrs per week Starting at 28 ½ hours per week Term Time Only plus TED Days Working Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 3:40pm & Friday 8:30am - 12:20pm (1hr unpaid lunch break Mon-Thurs) Main purpose of the job Working under the direction and within an agreed system of supervision from a qualified teacher: To implement and undertake work in line with the Higher Level Teaching Assistants Standards, To contribute to planning, preparing and delivery of learning activities and support programmes to individual or groups of pupils. Under an agreed system of direction and supervision carry out cover for class teachers. To advance pupils’ learning in a range of classroom settings, including working with whole classes where the assigned teacher is not present. To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop. To use behaviour management strategies in line with the schools policy and procedures, which contribute to a purposeful learning environment. To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school Oak Hill First School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
