What the Job Involves Providing effective administrative support to the legal service, assisting with advice to Councils, Members, Officers, and external stakeholders. Supporting legal teams across council sites with a full range of administrative tasks and contributing to shared delivery back-office support services. Assisting in project work, including fact-finding, research, and maintaining project plans. Managing legal case management systems, inputting data, and producing management information for lawyers, standard letters, and documents. Performing various tasks like filing, archiving, preparing court bundles, handling post, document sealing, and supporting meetings. Conducting legal research and basic case work under minimal supervision. Meeting and greeting clients and members of the public when necessary. Maintaining manual and electronic systems, including IT systems, spreadsheets, databases, and case management systems. Supporting the Head of Business Operations Legal and Governance in maintaining Lexcel accreditation. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and adhering to Data Protection policies. Promoting equality and diversity in all employment and service aspects, and managing risks appropriately. Handling safeguarding issues and providing any other duties commensurate with the post's responsibilities and grade.
