This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling, and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s 2,500 rooms.
The role
As a Mechanical & Piping Workpack Engineer, you’ll ensure work packs and associated documentation are complete to programme and provide guidance to MEH works supervision.
Day to day, you’ll support the work pack Lead in the production of Construction work packs and associated documentation:
* Supporting the Work Pack Lead in the production of construction work packs and associated documentation.
* Producing complex method statements in compliance with MEH procedures.
* Being qualified and/or approved to produce task-based risk assessments in compliance with MEH procedures.
* Maintaining a high standard of quality with a "Right First Time" approach.
* Identifying the need for specialist tooling and materials associated with the works listed in the work pack.
Essential experience of the Mechanical & Piping Workpack Engineer:
* Experience as a Workpack Engineer in a construction environment.
* CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
* A positive ‘can do’ mentality, self-motivated, setting the right behaviours.
This role is full-time, 37 hours per week and is based onsite at Hinkley Point C.
