Learning Support Assistants for Colleges in Newham - Full and Part Time roles available LSAs required to support pupils with SEND at 3 Colleges in Newham. Previous experience working with SEND is essential but does NOT have to be school based experience i.e. Youth Mentor, Youth Support Worker, Alternative Provisions/Pupil Referral Unit, Behaviour Mentor, SEMH. Requirements: Experience working with students with SEND is essential and is not limited to school/college setting. A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach towards students with diverse needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues. Ability to manage challenging situations and maintain composure in a classroom environment. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques. An understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to SEND and safeguarding. Desirable experience would be: Degree (Psychology) or Qualification related to SEND such as Autism.
