We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Winchester.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE
This is a varied role which brings together our people, our customers and the community through working closely with colleagues to administer the developed programs. As part of the electrical services team, you will confidently contribute to both our Positive Outcomes and Service Delivery to aid us in the successful delivery of our business strategy.
The role is to directly support Cardo Group across three key areas:
1. Delivery of all aspects of electrical testing, inspecting, installation and maintenance works. Through our action plan which has been developed to enhance people engagement across our teams, you will help deliver these priorities through the delivery of exceptional operational delivery of all associated electrical works.
2. Customer Service Our customer experience is a priority more than ever. We have developed an exciting Customer Service Strategy which focuses on the customer journey, recognising that everyone has a role to play. With your commitment and passion for great customer service, you will support the business by deploying these actions across our branches.
3. Excellent skills and competency You will strive to be the very best you can and competent in all aspects of electrical works where you will be a can-do person who is flexible and adaptable to various challenges. You will be a team player that is also keen to learn new skills and trades.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
As Trade – Electrician/EQS you are responsible for providing an excellent service that is safe, compliant, effective and efficient in the delivery of a variety of projects and programmes across our varying contracts and ensuring that all works are delivered to the high-quality standards that our clients expect from us in an efficient and VFM manner.
* You will proactively carry out all aspects of domestic, commercial and industrial work in a safe, profitable, planned manner to achieve the programme and Key Performance Indicators and deliver a quality product and service in accordance with company requirements and legislation.
* Along with this, you will be the Qualified Supervisor for our NICEIC Accreditation, with support from the wider Group Compliance Team.
* In general, the role of Trade – Electrician/EQS, you will be carrying out a variety of electrical installation, routine maintenance and fault finding works across our Reactive repairs / Voids / Planned works and Compliance work streams, including but not limited to:
Trade – Electrician:
* The installation of complete electrical installation - rewiring
* To installation of partial upgrades to electrical installation
* To carry out remedial electrical works following an EICR, survey, clients request
* To carry out the replacement of electrical accessories and provide minor works, installation certificates and fire alarm certification.
* To carry out fault finding, diagnosing and rectification on electrical installations
* To carry out general breakdown repair and maintenance to both boiler and heating systems including storage heaters, warm air units, immersion heaters, central heating systems.
* To be experienced and able to carry out all aspects of fault finding, diagnoses and rectification on a range of different installations and components.
* To carry out emergency repairs as part of day to day and out of hours working.
* Working with and to Building Control regulations and requirements as well as all other statutory and mandatory regulations/legislation and requirements including Best practice.
* Working to drawings and specifications
* Must be able to adapt and have a willing attitude to work on other departmental work streams for the purpose of team playing and cross covering. This will include Repairs, Maintenance and Voids.
* Be friendly and professional at all times and demonstrate “outstanding customer service” to our clients and their residents at all times.
* To carry out immersion heater replacements including both electrical and plumbing aspects.
* To carry out shower unit replacements including both the electrical and plumbing aspects.
* To carry out installation, servicing and maintenance on EV Car Charging Points, Solar PV installations and Battery Storage Systems.
Quality Checks:
* Ensure that work activities being delivered by our in-house electricians and sub-contractors are being supervised in a legally compliant way, and that all legal, compliance, safety, operational and commercials risks relating to the works are identified, and duly mitigated, ensuring that the company is fully protected.
* Ensure continued professional development (CPD) with best practice and deliver training, support, and coaching to other electrical staff.
* Carry out the review, validation and counter signing of all NICEIC related testing documents and certificates including Part P notifications.
* Carry out comprehensive quality control checks on our DLO electricians and electrical contractors in accordance with internal Quality Control Procedure where identified non-compliances are managed and monitored through to completion via our Safety Culture platform.
* In doing so, satisfying the Client's expectations and maximising the financial return to the business.
* To develop and maintain positive relationships, and to promote and protect the Cardo reputation whilst remaining customer focused and in line with Company policies and values.
* Understand and work within team targets and the Cardo business plan.
Communication:
* Providing timely information to residents and Cardo project team.
* Having the ability to communicate with people on a multi-dimensional strategy level.
* Be clear and precise in written and oral with internal staff, sub-contractors, clients and residents.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with the team.
* Ensure that company vehicles are looked after maintained and clean at all times.
* Ensure that toolbox talks are regularly attended too and you are provide positive, constructive and key input to.
* Be able to clearly, precisely and respectively challenge non-conformance, performance and contractual matters.
* Ensure that van stock is correctly replenished.
General Administration:
* Provide support to the project team with general administration tasks.
* Update IT systems with notes and evidence via PDA & Tablet.
* Effective communication strategies.
* Review and understand RAMS and provide vital input into the generation of specific task RAMS with your line manager.
* Ensuring that all electrical jobs and H&S related electronic documentation is fully completed and submitted.
* Conduct quality control inspections via Safety Culture platform and update any non-conformities identified.
* Review, verify and counter sign NICEIC Testing and Danger Notifications on NICEIC Portal.
Skills/Experience:
* Intermediate to Advanced IT skills in email, word, excel, Power Point, ASTA and internal and external ICT systems.
* Tact, diplomacy, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

* Previous experience of electrical works particularly within the social housing sector.
