Supply Chain Engineer: Packaging

This well-established manufacturing organisation is picking up innovative programs of works for several European automotive OEM's. They have asked us to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Engineer with sound knowledge of packaging and the associated supply chain. This is a brand new role working within the wider supply chain team.
As Supply Chain Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:
1. Innovative Concept Development: Collaborate with customers to create compelling proposals that prioritise Safety, Quality, and Optimisation, while reducing forward logistics costs!
2. Supplier Synergy: Partner with packaging suppliers to refine our concept, utilising current resources and scouting for new ones.
3. Dynamic Packaging Specifications: Craft robust packaging specifications that meet and exceed expectations.
4. Budget Mastery: Navigate budgetary constraints and empower Project Managers with scope changes, ensuring cost recovery from our valued customers.
5. Supplier Packaging: Align with inbound materials to create a seamless packaging experience.
6. Internal Material Handling: Enhance collaboration with Production, focusing on cleanliness and meticulous packaging management/storage.
7. Outbound Logistics Flows: Optimize transport to and from customers by balancing frequency and cost to meet their specific needs. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure flawless customs documentation.
8. Consignment Stock Solutions: Innovate and implement strategic solutions for Consignment Stock as necessary.
9. PFEP & Warehouse Needs for Finished Stock: Outline and refine the requirements for Finished Stock to enhance efficiency.
10. Inbound Logistics Flows: Maximize transport efficiency to and from suppliers by aligning frequency with cost, in accordance with STA requirements. Ensure all customs paperwork is impeccably organised.
11. Consignment Stock Solutions: Identify and develop innovative solutions for Consignment Stock as needed.
12. PFEP & Warehouse Needs for Raw Materials: Establish clear requirements for Raw Materials to bolster operational flow.
