Description Wood require a Cash Optimisation Lead, to be based in either the United Kingdom, working out of one of our network of office locations or alternatively Houston, Texas. In this role you will Drive cash optimisation across the business through financial governance, cash forecasting, process efficiency, and educating/championing the importance of cash management. This key role has been established to: Lead the governance and reporting of cash in the Operations business. Support the Cash Optimisation Manager to drive improvement initiatives across the BU by taking ownership of key projects. Act as a cash champion and drive improvement in Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (P2P), and ultimately free cashflow into the organisation. Lead the consolidation of the DCF and associated risks and opportunities through interaction with the business and Commercial/Finance managers. Support Service Lines to understand variances between direct and indirect forecasts to facilitate better understanding and accuracy moving forward. Lead and support continuous improvement projects including creating visibility on forecasting accuracy, improving unwind tools and driving better visibility on the payables data. Take ownership of PBI dashboard including data quality, improvement and automation. Governance & Reporting Monthly refresh and analysis of Cash Optimisation Dashboard ahead of BG sessions. Capture actions agreed at governance sessions and ensure these flow through into system / followed up throughout the month. Take ownership of PBI dashboard including data quality, improvement and change management, and automation. Manage weekly governance and reporting requirements for Working Capital initiative. Lead and support continuous improvement projects including reconciliation of reported metrics against PMR with the aim of aligning these and removing duplication, design and roll out of revised KPI reporting requirements including DSO League Tables. Proactively seek to ensure all enabling tools are functioning effectively. Billing Work with DFSS to review billing processes, identify and flag pain points across the BGs. Work with DFSS to get better visibility on monthly billing targets and achievement against these. Support initiative to reinvigorate Time to Bill (T2B) KPI and embed in business, further supporting BGs to understand and drive improvement in this area. Support initiative to understand and address the systemic root causes behind delayed billing. Review problem areas in current unbilled like milestone billing, KPIs and revenue accruals and identify plans to improve where appropriate. Intervention and support as required. Collections Create analysis of payment performance by client, refresh and share regularly with BGs to facilitate improvement. Follow-up with DFSS & Service Lines on clients with aged balances and support improvement plans. Support introduction of collections resources within DFSS to ensure maximum value for Operations BU. Drive utilization of the receivable financing facilities and act as a coordinator between the Business Unit and Group Treasury on the maximization of our facility limits every month. Intervention and support as required. Support Cash Optimisation Manager with other Improvement Initiatives not listed above including: Champion ongoing education and communication with the wider business. Develop Operations Share Point site to house relevant information and updates on Cash. Assist with monitoring and managing working capital including closer attention to procure to pay processes. Working Capital initiative to improve free cash flow through improvements in Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Balance Sheet locked cash. Qualifications High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and overall good experience in MS Office. Knowledge of PowerBI / PowerApps (technical knowledge to build not required). Excellent self-management and organizational skills. Passion for problem solving with a drive to see projects through to completion. Confident to challenge issues and proactively find solutions. Self-starter who is willing to drive and champion the key messages. Strong collaboration skills to work across function and Business Group to achieve desired results. Strong written and oral communication skills essential for regular interaction with the leadership, Finance team, Commercial and the wider business. 5 years’ experience in the business through Finance, Commercial or other relevant experience. Working knowledge of cashflow forecasting, billing and collections processes. Solid understanding of cash management best practice. Experience working with PowerBI / PowerApps to deliver management information.
