The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Colne Community School for a Catering Assistant to join our Catering Team. Our school is a community in which we believe everyone, students and staff alike, should have the opportunity to be nourished and grow. Therefore, we are seeking to recruit a proactive and reliable member of staff to enrich the skills and experience already present in our Catering Team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and diligent.

We work closely with other schools within the Trust to improve standards and ensure that we are creating the best environment for our students to learn and our staff to develop.
Our school community is expanding which makes this a particularly unique and exciting time to join our school. We have a new teaching block consisting of 8 new classrooms and 4 specialist Design and Technology rooms fully equipped. A further large scale internal refurbishment took place over the 2022/23 academic year which has further improved our school environment for all.

This post is 27 hours, 30 minutes per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time, plus one additional day during the school closure periods)
Key Responsibilities:
* The preparation and simple cooking of food and beverages.
* Serving customers.
* To maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations.
