As part of our ongoing commitment to digital growth, we are seeking an experienced and innovative Head of/Director, Social Commerce to lead our social commerce business strategy and execution worldwide. As the Head of/Director, Social Commerce you will be responsible for developing and driving the integration of social media, e-commerce, enhancing customer engagement, increasing sales and ensuring that our brand presence on social platform is optimized for revenue growth. you will be an experienced professional with a deep understanding of social commerce platforms and ecosystem, have a strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce trends, with the ability to align these areas to our broader business goals on a global level. You will demonstrate a successful track record in leading social commercial growth drivers for traffic, conversion and executing innovative social commerce campaigns through multiple channels, such as FMCG consumer trends. Here’s a bit more detail on what you will be doing: Creating a roadmap for social commerce, focusing on increasing online sales through social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.). Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, product, and data teams to create content and integrate social commerce into the overall digital marketing strategy. Leading campaigns that drive product awareness, consideration, and conversion on social platforms. Establish new partnerships, manage, source content creators/ influencers, work closely with influencers, brand ambassadors, and content creators to leverage social selling opportunities, enhance social commerce strategy and drive sales. Manage partnerships with social media platforms to stay ahead of new features and trends that could benefit our business. Ensure a seamless customer journey from social media discovery to purchase, leveraging social shopping features like Instagram Shops, Facebook Marketplace, TikTok Shopping, etc. Use social listening and analytics tools to track customer sentiment, feedback, and behaviour, continuously optimizing the experience. Develop and implement growth strategies that enhance conversion rates, sales, and engagement via D2C efforts on social platforms. Manage social commerce sales funnels, ensuring alignment with broader e-commerce sales goals. Drive, be accountable, own, and manage revenue growth (gross merchandise value) and profitability (P&L) through social commerce, optimize user journey within social commerce platforms to maximize conversion and revenue and ensure financial performance targets are met or exceeded. Manage the budget allocation, set financial goals for regions and teams with the supports from commercial finance, supply chain and marketing teams, and ensure efficient allocation of resources to achieve business objectives. Monitor KPIs related to social commerce, including sales growth, ROI, customer engagement, and retention. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on the performance of social commerce initiatives and adjust strategies as necessary. Work with product, digital marketing, sales, and creative teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging, branding, and social media efforts. Ensure effective use of social commerce technologies, including shoppable posts, AI-powered chatbots, and real-time customer support. Keep up with the latest trends in social media, commerce, and consumer behaviour to adapt and innovate the company’s social commerce approach. Lead testing and adoption of new tools, platforms, or features to stay competitive in the evolving landscape of social commerce. What skills and experiences you’ll need to ace this job: 5 years of working experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, social media, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, within retail or consumer goods industries. Proven experience driving social commerce strategies for consumer-facing product brands, with a strong track record of creating consumer demand and generating significant revenue on a global level. Strong understanding of social commerce platforms, SEO and SEM, their e-commerce capabilities, and how to leverage them for business growth. Experience in affiliate marketing, managing influencers and creators, digital sales funnels and driving online conversion through building brand awareness and performance content. Strong understanding of consumer behaviour especially in social media buying habits across different regions. Proficient in using CRM platforms, and marketing and social analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.) to track and measure campaign performance. Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and scaling new revenue channels. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Creative problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset. A good balance between creativity with data-driven decision-making, while also leading cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless and profitable social shopping experience.
