Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Double Days

They are a market leader in their industry and are now looking for a mechanically biased multiskilled maintenance engineer to join their team near Kempston, Bedford.
The Role:
1. Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and services on mechanical & electrical machinery and equipment.
2. Support the operational teams by using effective fault-finding techniques to resolve breakdowns during production periods.
3. Mentor and train apprentices and junior technicians, supporting their development.
4. Record all completed tasks, keep a stock inventory, and track orders of spare parts.
5. Communicate effectively at all levels.
6. Have a good idea or keen interest in continuous improvement, looking for ways to improve current processes.
7. Maintain and work towards high standards of health and safety, food safety, and hygiene.
Candidate Specification:
1. Apprenticeship qualified or equivalent.
2. A positive can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
3. Proven track record with Wafer Fabrications or working in a clean room environment.
4. Proven track record with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical fitting, and fabrication.
5. Proven track record with electrical motors, controls panels, and fault finding on PCB’s down to component level.
6. Able to follow a logical thought process when troubleshooting issues.
7. Friendly approach towards peers and good at building relationships.
8. Proven track record of working in full PPE with chemicals.
9. Enjoy working and contributing to a small close-knit team.
10. Willingness to keep learning and developing yourself and your engineering skills.
11. Able to understand and follow schematics & electrical drawings.
