This unique role offers a varied and engaging workday, supporting Key Stage 2 students in the morning as a general classroom TA and working 1:1 with an SEN student in Reception during the afternoon. Staff enjoy a collaborative atmosphere, working closely with one another to ensure the best possible outcomes for their students. Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant: Morning Support (KS2):
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
* Supporting small groups and individual students with learning tasks.
* Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
Afternoon Support (Reception – 1:1 SEN):
* Providing tailored 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs.
* Encouraging social development and independence in line with the child's needs.
* Implementing strategies suggested by the SENCO and external specialists.
* Supporting with sensory and communication needs as required.
Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally across both KS2 and EYFS.
* SEN experience is essential – understanding of ASD, ADHD, or speech & language needs preferred.
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning support.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
* A passion for working with young children and making a difference in their education.
