UX Designer (Energy Storage Systems)
Location: Fully on-site or hybrid (2 days remote) at our UK Head Office in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, ST5 9HX
Schedule: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000k pa DOE
Are you a passionate UX Designer looking to join our growing team to help craft seamless, user-centric experiences across our digital ecosystem?
As we scale our products and services globally, you'll be instrumental in defining how users interact with our platforms—from our mobile app and web dashboards to installer tools and beyond. You'll use Figma as your primary design tool, contribute to and evolve our design system, and apply atomic design principles to build scalable, modular, and intuitive UI components.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead the creation of user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals using Figma.
* Build, maintain, and evolve our design system to ensure consistency, reusability, and scalability across all GivEnergy products.
* Apply atomic design methodology to organise and structure components in a modular, maintainable way.
* Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to implement designs that balance usability, technical feasibility, and performance.
* Conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations to deeply understand user behaviour and pain points.
* Deliver UX documentation and specifications that clearly communicate your design decisions.
* Stay up to date on design trends, accessibility standards, and UX best practices to continuously improve our approach.
What We’re Looking For
* 3+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile design work.
* Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, and collaborative workflows.
* Experience designing and maintaining scalable design systems across teams and platforms.
* Deep understanding of atomic design principles and how to implement them in real-world projects.
* Strong grasp of user-centered design, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design principles.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you’re confident presenting ideas and gathering feedback.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative, and agile product environment.
* Experience in the energy sector, IoT interfaces, or data visualisation tools would be a bonus.
