The Opportunity
Join Holcim as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, working a Monday to Friday double days rotation, where you’ll maintain automated fixed and mobile block manufacturing infrastructure across multiple factories on site. This role is key to ensuring production efficiency, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll work alongside engineers, production staff, and technicians, playing a vital role in electrical maintenance, inspections, and system optimisation.
* Lead electrical maintenance and inspection activities, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
* Occasional out-of-hours breakdown support and conduct preventative maintenance.
* Work to ISO 9001, 14001, and 18001 standards, ensuring compliance with safety, productivity, and housekeeping regimes.
* Mentor and support an electrical apprentice, fostering skill development within the team.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, reducing downtime and enhancing production performance.
Who You Are
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Maintenance Engineer with expertise in process control, automation, and plant maintenance. Your strong problem-solving abilities and technical skills make you an essential part of any engineering team.
* Proven experience in an electrical engineering role, with a background in maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting.
* Completed electrical apprenticeship with qualifications such as City & Guilds, B Tech, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. 18th Edition Electrical Installation is required.
* Competency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance systems would be a benefit but training can be provided.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organised, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
