The Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of internal and external projects for Synoptix and our growing customer portfolio. The project management function is essential for the successful execution of projects, making sure we deliver on time, cost and quality. You will coordinate activity across various projects and bid proposals whilst engaging with key stakeholders in a client facing role. The Senior Project Manager will also provide input into the development of the project management structure and support the existing team in their professional development.
Day to day tasking can include:
Delivery and Development of the Project Management function and team
Management of multiple engineering projects from inception to completion
Developing project plans, schedules, and budgets
Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
Coordination with internal teams and customer stakeholders
Identification and mitigation of project risks
Ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
Key Skills Required:
Demonstrable experience leading and successfully delivering complex projects
Experience and aptitude to develop, integrate and embed project management function into a business
Ability to recognise and focus on specific project challenges and operate at project and enterprise levels
Experience working in the defence sector would be ideal but notessential
Proven stakeholder management ability
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and successfully collaborating to achieve common goals
Hold a recognised Project Management qualification (APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ)
