I am currently assisting a business in Central Birmingham that is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer at Principal/Associate level to join their Critical Missions Team.
The business is a multi-disciplinary consultancy operating in 20 locations worldwide and is known for its expertise in new technologies and energy-efficient design. They work on prestigious and technically challenging projects, earning them industry-wide recognition.
The Role: The Principal/Associate electrical engineer will lead a team of engineers and technicians within the critical mission sector.
Other key responsibilities include:
1. Daily design engineering across various projects in sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Residential, Retail, and Critical Systems.
2. Serving as a mentor, providing coaching and training to junior staff, and monitoring their designs.
3. Client responsibilities including project meetings, bidding work, site visits, and building strong client relationships.
The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate should have:
1. A degree in electrical or building services engineering (MEng or BEng).
2. Experience in a building services electrical engineering role, particularly in data centers.
3. Proven technical expertise within data centers.
4. Chartered or working towards chartered status.
5. Management experience.
6. Motivation, ambition, and a desire to develop themselves and the team.

Compensation: The package includes:
