This permanent will report to the senior project manager and will work within network operations based in our Eltham office. You will be a permanent employee in our UK Power Networks team.
You will attract a salary of £41,536 dependant on experience and a bonus of 3%.

Nature and Scope:
You will play an important role in the safe completion of the Inspection, Maintenance and defect Repairs of substations, plant and equipment up to and including 132kV.The job holder will work at any location within the UK Power Networks area.
Required Skills:
Competent to work on the LPN network.
Principal Accountabilities:
Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment relevant to this role
Comply with all UKPN DSR's and procedures and work to a high standard of quality.
Perform risk assessments in relation to the task and demonstrate a safety culture.
Report hazards and defects that they are unable to rectify through the appropriate reporting procedure.
Inspection and Maintenance of EHV plant and equipment up to and including 132kV.
Perform inspections of Grid and Primary substations.
Communicate with control and perform stand-by duties to maintain network security (where appropriately authorised).
Be able to operate hand held IT equipment to receive job instructions and record asset data information.
Be an ambassador for UK Power Networks
Be able to work on their own and as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications:
You should have the following:
ONC in electrical power or City & Guilds Part 232/2339 in electrical/electronic qualification.
Electrical apprenticeship in a power distribution (or similar) company.
Be able to demonstrate experience of working on regional electricity networks and therefore have a comprehensive knowledge of the electrical distribution network.
Hold a current UK driving licence.
