The difference you will make as a Strategy & Change Advisor
In this role you will support the delivery of the Care & Support Strategy and Corporate Plan objectives by developing and delivering projects in collaboration with colleagues. You will develop an effective network of key stakeholders internally and externally including operational colleagues as well as central teams such as Quality and Improvement, Business Transformation, Business Information and Digital Business to ensure projects are supported appropriately. You will be keeping up to date with legislation, regulatory, policy and funding changes in housing, care, and support, analysing risks, trends and opportunities and providing recommendations for changes to strategic direction ensuring any resultant changes are widely communicated internally
About you
We are looking for someone with:
• Good understanding of the social housing sector and/or homelessness/care/mental health.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate a high level of professional writing skills.
• Flexible, self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience of applying project management methodologies, continuous improvement and delivering on projects to agreed timescales.
• Ability to interpret complex documentation, identifying key requirements and preparing written responses that meet criteria appropriately.

Job Purpose:
Working as part of the Care and Support Business Development and Strategy Team, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of Care and Support’s Strategy and Corporate Plan Objectives. You will work collaboratively across Riverside to develop and deliver business improvement projects and ensure change is embedded across the Care and Support portfolio, in line with our strategic priorities
Role requires you to:
Care and Support Strategy delivery:
6. Support the delivery of the Care and Support Strategy and Corporate Plan Objectives by developing and delivering projects in collaboration with colleagues.
7. Lead on specific Care and Support Strategy projects as required.
8. Develop an effective network of key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure projects are supported appropriately including key partners such as business transformation, business information and digital business.
9. Keep up to date with legislation, regulatory, policy and funding changes in housing, care, and support, analysing risks, trends and opportunities and providing recommendations for changes to strategic direction ensuring resultant changes are widely communicated internally.
10. Provide performance information and contribute to the Care and Support reporting framework.
11. Liaise with Subject Matter Experts to inform strategy development, drive continuous improvement and provide an evidence base for tender submissions.
12. Ensure colleague engagement and communications are an integral part of the business change process in all projects delivered.
13. Support the Care and Support Strategy Delivery Groups and attend and lead subgroups where necessary.
14. Keep up to date with the delivery of other Riverside strategies and Corporate Plan objectives, attending project meetings, and ensuring Care and Support interests are represented and any risks and issues are reported to Senior Management.
15. Develop and maintain accurate and timely evidence that promotes the Care and Support Strategy and Corporate Plan objectives at a local and national level, including our influencing aims.
Influencing & sector analysis
16. Assist in the development of innovative approaches and working practices that helps to maintain Riverside’s position as a leading provider of care and support services.
17. Develop and maintain up to date records of sector engagement across Riverside and identify areas for improvement at a local and national level.
18. Work with the Strategy and Planning and Influencing teams to provide up to date evidence and trends in the sector, ensuring they are communicated widely across the organisation.
19. Contribute to the coordination of responses to sector consultations on housing, Care, and Support issues.
20. Keep up to date with the strategies, initiatives, activities, best practice and performance of competitors and other providers in the housing, care and support sector ensuring information is widely shared with colleagues.
Change Management
21. Work on the delivery of any Care and Support special projects, as and when required, ensuring they form part of the Care and Support Change Portfolio.
22. Contribute to the management of the change management and Programme Review Panels (PRP) reporting cycle.
23. Liaise regularly with Care and Support teams to share information, gain input in project delivery, and drive the embedding of change.
24. Support the Strategy and Change Manager in the coordination of any internal or external funding related projects, such as Helping Hands, Health and Wellbeing and Community Fund programmes.
25. Ensure that coproduction forms the basis of all aspects of project delivery.
26. Work on the delivery of research projects, as and when required.
27. Contribute to the embedding of change across Care and Support, including the engagement of colleagues and stakeholders.
