The purpose of the role is to work with Tax Technical Manager to effectively research, analyse, understand, implement and manage changing regulatory requirements of worldwide tax regimes.
In addition, the jobholder is to contribute to the profitability and growth of the HSS client base by delivering an excellent client service experience and striving to enhance existing institutional relationships through improved service and developing a service model and reputation that also attracts new business.
In this role you will be responsible:

To undertake Tax related Project work as required.
:
Provide support to Tax Transparent Funds (TTFs).
:
Provide guidance and support on Stamp Duty Reserve Tax (SDRT) to Custody Tax and our clients
:
Develop and maintain relationships and internal reporting to support processing efficiencies, improved client service and/or reduced operational/client risk.
:
To ensure that all client tax related static is maintained and accurate. Investigating and resolving queries and exceptions within set targets.

To comply with all current regulatory requirements contributing to successful Tax authority audits. To maintain statistics and produce management information.

Support the other business areas with technical and market knowledge to aid efficient and accurate responses to client queries, client on boarding, new markets and products in respect of department activities
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Proven in:depth knowledge and experience of the securities industry and global market infrastructure

Proven detailed knowledge of: Tax Operations environment,
Withholding tax and double taxation agreements worldwide, Stamp Duty Reserve Tax (SDRT), Tax Research / Support
:
Proven communication skills: written and verbal. Proven clients focus approach

Proven ability to work in a pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively

Proven ability to take initiative and drive change

Proven planning and organisation skills, Proven interpersonal skills
