About the Role:
Reporting into the Financial Ledger Controller, you will support the team in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger in accordance with Group policy, financial reporting standards, and best accounting practices.
Responsibilities:
You will also:
1. Support on wider journal controls, including journal accuracy, journal log records, and maintaining a journal rota.
2. Take ownership of the Angard process, including a weekly pay reconciliation, PFS payments, and processing invoices as required.
3. Lead on the monthly bonus accrual journal and other journals as required.
4. Support at period end with the inter-business reconciliation.
5. Facilitate the balance sheet reconciliations and reporting process.
6. Aid non-compliance reporting and raise any issues identified.
7. Work with the Financial Ledger Controller and the wider Finance Team on other tasks as required.
About You:
To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
1. Fully qualified AAT or working towards full qualification.
2. Team worker, with a willingness to help and a flexible approach to work.
3. Excellent numeracy skills.
4. Good analytical and communication skills.
5. An eye for process improvements and streamlining ways of working with the drive to bring these improvements into the workplace.
