Our client is a family-owned, licensed garment supplier to the high street. They are currently recruiting for an ambitious and confident Assistant Merchandiser to join their team. This role will assist the account managers and merchandise teams across multiple high street accounts. They are also open to an eager graduate willing to learn.
Assistant Merchandiser - The Role:
1. Negotiating prices with factories and customers
2. Raising new orders internally and sending them to overseas factories / in-country merchandisers
3. Checking all details on customer contracts
4. Liaising daily with factories / in-country merchandisers via email & phone regarding approvals/rejections
5. Updating and analyzing internal and customer critical paths
6. Conducting weekly Skype calls with factories
7. Sending sample submissions – lab dips / strike-offs to customers
8. Coordinating between licensing and QC departments for sample approvals
9. Liaising with logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods
10. Collaborating with the design department on design issues and requesting high-resolution artwork for factories
11. Checking label artworks and approving them for factories
12. Identifying production issues and resolving problems as they arise
13. Reading test reports and sending production samples to the lab
14. Maintaining strong customer relationships
15. Attending customer meetings
Assistant Merchandiser - The Candidate:
* Highly organized
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Proactive approach
* Familiar with Microsoft Office packages and Outlook
Assistant Merchandiser - The Package:
