27,000 - 33,000 + company bonus + training + potential for progression
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer, with a background in Engineering / Manufacturing, seeking a progressive role with a rapidly growing, agile and innovative manufacturer of water treatment systems? This company provides a holistic service to reputable clients in F&B, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, and Aerospace, offering excellent training and development opportunities as they continue their rapid growth.
Do you have experience designing pumps, valves, or similar? This is a unique opportunity to join a modern, forward-thinking business that utilizes its specialist industry knowledge to provide complete solutions, from design through installation and commissioning for bespoke client requirements. You will work closely with the directors and owners of the business, making a direct contribution to the growth of the company.
The company provides water treatment, industrial water solutions, and industrial water management to a diverse array of industries, trusted by household names such as Warburtons. They are a truly independent organization, set up by highly skilled engineers over 30 years ago. Now looking to continue their growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team, with excellent ongoing progression potential.
You will be responsible for liaising closely with clients to understand bespoke requirements, creating detailed manufacturing drawings, P&ID's, as well as pipework and steelwork fabrication drawings, preparing BOM's, and working closely with internal teams to deliver leading-edge, specialist designs.
The role:
* Utilise AutoCAD and Solidworks
* Produce P&ID's, layouts, and general arrangement drawings
* Develop a 3D library for standard plant items
* Create detailed manufacturing drawings to assist fabrication
* Produce piping and steelwork fabrication drawings in the form of isometrics and general arrangements
* Prepare and check bill of materials
* Provide technical input during detailed engineering of projects
The person:
* Mechanical Design Engineer, with experience using AutoCAD and Solidworks
* Experience with manufacturing design (ideally from water treatment, F&B, or similar, or with experience designing valves, pumps, or similar)
