We are looking for an Assistant Planner to join our Building Services team at Royal Derby Hospital.
The Assistant Planner will support the programme manager by assisting in the development, coordination, and implementation of strategic plans and projects. This role is essential in ensuring that all planning activities are executed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the team. The Assistant Planner will collaborate with various departments, analyse data, prepare reports, and provide administrative support to ensure that planning objectives are met in a timely and accurate manner.
What you'll do:
* Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring they align with our overarching programmed schedule.
* Work closely with 4+ project managers to create detailed and effective project schedules using MS Project and Asta Power Project. Report project progress to the programme manager on a weekly basis.
* Utilise cutting-edge tools like Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Office 365 to streamline project planning and enhance reporting processes.
* Assist in preparing comprehensive project documentation and insightful reports.
* Monitor project progress, update schedules as needed and ensure timely completion of key milestones.
* Gather and analyse data from various sources to inform planning decisions, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
* Collaborate with different departments to ensure seamless execution of planning initiatives, facilitating effective communication and teamwork.
* Communicate effectively with leadership team to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns related to planning activities.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Strong analytical skills to interpret project data and drive informed decisions.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in MS Project, Asta Power Project, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Office 365.
* A meticulous approach with a strong focus on accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with project managers and stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
* A proactive mindset with the flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
