Our prestigious client is looking for a Project Manager to join their growing Estates Department. This role will require amazing attention to detail across each project and high standards of delivery & execution. The position offers a salary of up to £65,000 for the right candidate, with working hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
You will be required to set up the Estate Operations teams, manage project management processes, provide business cases, scope, plans, costs, and construction delivery for new business development. You will also work alongside the refurbishments department on specific large maintenance projects. The Project Manager will collaborate with all other departments to design and deliver a business-wide project management programme.
Main responsibilities:
* Deliver day-to-day project matters, including meetings with project sponsors, stakeholders, suppliers, and arranging site visits.
* Implement a pre-planned project management brief for all departments for short-to-medium term planning and budgeting purposes.
* Prepare and lead project tenders and procurement processes.
* Assist the Estates teams with technical, procurement, or procedural queries.
* Brief the project team on timescales for implementation, progress, and delivery.
* Minimise project disruption through detailed scheduling and planning of works.
* Lead contract negotiations and performance management of project suppliers and contractors.
* Assist with the company’s sustainability targets through project management.
* Manage all safety requirements for construction when necessary.
* Collaborate effectively with other departments.
* Build strong relationships with partners and internal team members.
* Provide Prince 2 or equivalent compliant project management for CAPEX, maintenance, and construction projects.
Skills required:
* Prince 2 or equivalent qualification is essential.
* Up to 5 years of project management experience in the construction or property industry is essential.
* Experience in setting up project management processes is essential.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels are essential.
* Good organisational skills and proficiency in project management software are essential.
* The ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multi-level decision making is essential.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
* Working knowledge of CDM and Health and Safety is essential.
* Experience in building construction and knowledge of building pathology is preferred but not essential.
* The ability to work in various environments, including outdoors in inclement weather.
* Experience with large multi-use estates or venues is preferred.
