Tara are working with a coeducational secondary academy school recruiting for a PA.
The school serves a diverse student body of almost 1000 students aged 11-16. The school is dedicated to empowering our students to reach their full potential.
Position Overview:
The Personal Assistant (PA) will provide high-level administrative support to a teaching staff member by managing schedules, organising daily operations, and supporting with admin lead tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Start Date: Feb 2025
Timetable: Full Time
Duration: Long term, possibly perm.
LEA: Telford and Wrekin
Main Responsibilities Include:
1. Organising and filing lessons
2. Printing out worksheets, presentations, lessons, and displays
3. Helping create presentations (for the careers module in the school)
4. Gathering lessons for the following day
5. General administrative support
6. 1:1 support with students within lessons
7. Creating posters and displays for the classroom
8. Refiling old systems
9. Choosing star of the week and homework champion and handing them out every week
10. Checking classroom equipment is stocked
11. Gathering revision resources
12. Managing classrooms and students
13. Handing out worksheets and anything else to the students
14. Documenting events/classroom reflections
It's advantageous to:
1. Have a good understanding of spreadsheets, good use of Microsoft and PowerPoint
2. Be able to familiarise yourself with the teacher, so over time support on days where they are absent, or able to support without interrupting the lessons
3. To be able to familiarise yourself with the pupils
