What this school is looking for:
* Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate about teaching young people Geography.
* Relevant experience teaching 11–16 year-olds within the last 2 years.
* A professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes.
* Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement the school’s behaviour policies is also essential.
* Deliver engaging and creative history lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECTs welcome to apply.
* Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a Humanities related field.
* Recent experience teaching Geography or Humanities at secondary school level.
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
What you’ll need to succeed:
* Strong behaviour/classroom management.
* Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
* The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
