Key Areas/Tasks Communication & Relationships Skills There is a requirement to exchange verbal and written information with patients, staff and carers, requiring tact and diplomacy. The post holder will be expected to deal with queries from anxious patients and carers. Responsibility for handling telephone and other communications with sensitivity and confidentiality using personal judgement to assess each situation and to deal with accordingly. To deliver a high standard of communication to build and maintain good working relationships Knowledge, Training & Experience The post holder will require a knowledge over a range of secretarial procedures and knowledge of software programmes, RSA level 3 or equivalent keyboard skills and an understanding of medical terms Good standard of education to include GCSEs or equivalent, to include English Secretarial/clerical experience RSA3 in word processing or equivalent key board skills experience Knowledge of medical terminology
