As part of the implementation for the increased hours in Early Learning & Childcare we are looking to add to our nursery team.
The post holder will be a member of the nursery team within the setting supporting early learning and the Early Years Officer/Teacher. The post holder will develop and promote high quality learning experiences for all children within the establishment. Will ensure the effective use of positive behaviour strategies for all children in partnership with staff, parents and other appropriate professionals.
Working hours will be rotated weekly and will be:
Week 1: 07:45 – 15:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 12:00 Friday
Week 2: 09:45 – 18:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 12:00 Friday

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
