About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Drama, Dance, and/or Music, inspiring students to develop their creativity, confidence, and performance skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the performing arts and committed to nurturing talent across all abilities. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Drama, Dance, and/or Music Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that fosters creativity and skill development Direct and support school productions, performances, and extracurricular activities Encourage student participation in local and national competitions and events Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the performing arts provision within the school Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, relevant degree) Experience teaching Performing Arts (Drama, Dance, or Music) in a school setting Strong subject knowledge and practical experience in performance-based activities Excellent communication and classroom management skills Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities A passion for extracurricular performing arts activities Desirable Experience in directing school productions or leading performing arts clubs Knowledge of exam board specifications (GCSE, BTEC, A-Level) Ability to teach across multiple disciplines within performing arts What We Offer A supportive and creative work environment Opportunities for professional development and career progression Access to excellent facilities and resources The chance to lead and develop exciting performing arts initiatives
