Here at CWPT, we value lived experience and the impact it can have in the recovery of the people we care for.
We’re looking for Peer Support Workers (PSWs) to join us at this exciting time on one of our male wards at St Michael in Warwick. This role is for someone with lived experience of receiving inpatient care on a ward, who feels comfortable using their experiences, empathy, and understanding to help others and inspire hope and recovery. We are looking for someone who has resilience, great communication skills, and is willing to utilise and share their lived experiences to support others.
In this role, the appointed candidate will take on further training such as their ImROC PSW training and Care Certificate. The PSWs employed will be supported by the Senior PSW to navigate and thrive in the role. The PSWs will also work alongside ward teams to help engage and deliver services and promote recovery.
Your impact will be wide-reaching. You’ll work closely with the Recovery and Wellbeing Academy, which delivers educational courses and workshops to anyone over the age of 18 living in Coventry and Warwickshire. You will contribute to the co-creation and delivery of these workshops and courses.
