About the Role: We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Commercial Administrator to join a leading and well-established housebuilding company in Newcastle. This is a temporary position that offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience with a reputable employer in the construction industry. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to the commercial team and contribute to the smooth operation of various projects. Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the commercial team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Assist in the preparation and processing of documentation related to contracts, tenders, and orders. Maintain accurate records and databases, including supplier and subcontractor information. Manage and organize filing systems, both electronically and physically. Coordinate and track project timelines and deadlines, ensuring compliance with company policies. Communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services. Assist in the preparation of cost reports, budgets, and other financial documentation. Handle general office duties such as answering calls, emails, and scheduling meetings. Key Requirements: Previous experience in a commercial administration role, ideally within the construction or housebuilding sector. Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities. Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do approach
