Job Details
We're currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of Maternity Leave. This role supports our manufacturing site in Plymouth, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to gain exposure of working in surgical manufacturing supply chain, gaining experience of differing manufacturing processes and capacity planning. As part of a surgical manufacturing site, you’ll support various departments, as well as assisting on-site projects.
On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be producing production plans with complex resource capacity considerations, ensuring work in progress is available on time. We’re looking for someone with a willingness to learn, with good knowledge of capacity planning within the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
What will this role involve?
* Support the execution of the supply planning process, generating a supply plan demonstrating the capacity loading, considering all relevant inputs (demand, planning rules and constraints). Highlight capacity/material issues within the given timeframe.
* Generate production batches, scheduling production steps in line with the production plan. Generate work to lists and sub-contract schedules.
* Manage sub-contract sterilisation and packing to ensure on-time delivery.
* Support the maintenance of master data critical to the planning, scheduling and purchasing system residing in whatever system used for planning purposes.
* Arrange imports through co-ordination with external forwarders and internal teams. Post Brexit requirements for making customs declarations in Ricardo CMS in relation to CFSP, CW and IP. Maintain records working with forwarders and FPO on a day-to-day basis.
* Monitor safety stocks and planning parameters for manufactured and purchased items.
* Produce detailed history of forecast and sales data to form trend analysis.
* Provide cover for Supply Chain Manager absent or working off-site.
* Any additional requirements within Supply Chain Department.
What we're looking for?
* Proven work experience in supply chain, manufacturing or a planning/stock controller position.
* Understanding and proficiency in the use of ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
* IT literate in all MS-Office suite.
* Team player with a pragmatic approach and proactive, result-oriented, structured, solution-oriented and accurate way of working.
* Good communication skills (verbal & written) in English.
* Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise important projects.
* Balanced personality with a positive “can do” attitude.
