Job summary Alder Close Supported Living & Respite is based in the town of March and supports adults with a learning disability to access respite to offer carers a break from their caring role. Main duties of the job This role provides care and support to service users overnight during the hours of 10pm-8am, during this period you are to remain awake. The role includes supporting with personal care where needed, ensuring service user safety during the night and administration of medication. You will also need to help maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the building. You will be using IT to update documents such as support plans, risk assessments and will have a good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and assessments of capacity. The shifts are on a 4-week rota which could be subject to change to meet service need. These will be during the week, at weekends and Bank Holidays (between 10pm-8am). Additional enhancements are paid for weekends and Bank Holidays. You will be required to work every other weekend. The starting pay for the posts is £16.30 per hour this includes our night rate enhancement (£24.45 Saturday hours- £29.01 Sunday hours).
