Job summary We are looking to employ a further cohort of Apprentice Trainee Band 3 Assistant Practitioners in Intensive Care on Pencarrow Neuro ICU. After a successful pilot in 2020 we now have established APs on our unit, and as they continue their development, with 2 qualified RNs, and others undertaking their RN training we are looking to add to the team. As a Trainee AP you will join a 24 month programme, whilst based on Pencarrow. You will work alongside experienced ICU nurses to gain the necessary skills, knowledge and qualification to become a band 4 Assistant Practitioner in ICU. As an apprentice you will be enrolled at Plymouth Marjon University to achieve your Foundation Degree for Assistant Practitioner. The course consists of taught modules, e-learning and national competency frameworks which you will work towards on the unit.
