Payments Business Analyst (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support the analysis and implementation of SWIFT ISO 20022 changes within the securities and banking operations.
Position Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, conduct gap analysis, and provide testing support to ensure seamless integration of new payment standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Requirements & Technical Design: Support the gathering of formal business requirements and contribute to technical design documentation.
* Workflow Review: Analyze current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) workflows and provide input.
* Gap Analysis: Perform gap analysis between current state and proposed solutions for ISO 20022 migration.
* Testing & Planning: Develop testing approaches and assist with writing test plans.
* Project Reporting: Prepare status reports and provide ad-hoc support for any new requirements or issues.
* Issue Resolution: Address trade lifecycle queries and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.
* Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with business and IT stakeholders, providing clear communication and resolving operational issues.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Business Analysis Expertise: Proven experience working as a business analyst in a banking or financial services environment.
* Knowledge of Payment Standards: Expertise in SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022, PSD3/PSR, and industry payment standards.
* Payment Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of low and high-value payment schemes such as SEPA, SWIFT, TARGET2, FPS, CHAPs, and RTGS.
* ISO 20022 Migration: Experience in migration projects, including tools for payment translation (e.g., MX -> MT).
* Operational Knowledge: In-depth understanding of banking operations, including trade lifecycle, settlements, confirmations, collateral management, and reconciliations.
* Problem Solving: Ability to resolve issues efficiently and communicate effectively with both business and IT teams.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
* Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and deliver results both autonomously and within a team.
* Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project delivery lifecycle (PDLC). Ideally, familiarity with the Murex platform.
Desirable Experience:
* Knowledge of interest rate products, FX, and loan products.
This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical abilities, extensive payments knowledge, and a collaborative approach to ensure successful delivery of payments-related projects.
