Your role:
You will manage the day-to-day operations of our School Management Information Systems support service. We currently provide support to over 100 schools, offering a busy helpdesk as well as a comprehensive training programme and best practice recommendations and developments. You will manage a team of analysts and support officers that support the delivery of this service.
There is a lot of change in the school MIS market currently and so this is an exciting time for anyone with a keen interest in school IT systems.
You will visit schools to support and analyse their use of MIS including identifying how to make best use of their systems to support school improvement. You will also be responsible for developing and producing business intelligence products, including Power Bi dashboards.

The Education Business Intelligence Unit (EBIU) is a highly regarded team with schools and colleagues/services across the Council. The team delivers 3 service level agreements for our customers: education performance analysis products; management information systems (MIS) support; and a free school meal checking service; as well as statutory functions for the Local Authority. We also provide data analysis and insights for the Local Authority and specifically Children’s Services and work closely with the service. We are part of the Joint Intelligence Unit (JIU) which supports the Council in its Data Strategy and use of business intelligence to inform the services provided to residents.
