Job Description A unique Workshop Manager opportunity has come up in a rather unique scenic workshop based near Edgeware, North London They're looking for an experienced workshop manager to join as an integral member of the team. You'll be supervising craftspeople as they produce work in the museums and galleries world, building bespoke display solutions in their North London workshop then installing these creations into some of the most prestigious venues globally. Their projects include Galleries, Pop Up Exhibitions and Museum Displays, having worked with some high profile world class talent in their delivery. Experience working in a workshop based management / leadership role is crucial to keep the workshop running like a well oiled machine. Must have Ample experience in the Events / Scenic construction industry 5 Years experience in a workshop / production environment Leadership qualities and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of H&S / COSHH / Sustainability in a workshop environment Hands on experience with various manufacturing machinery and equipment Responsibilities Ensure H&S is a paramount consideration at all times Complete regular risk assessments Allocate all inter site transport Occasional Management of onsite builds Ensure workshop projects are delivered on time, and to the highest quality Report timeframes, materials and labour requirements to Project Managers Manage and reduce waste output Workshop HR responsibilities Improve on existing systems and protocol to boost productivity and output Develop new methods of working as required Train and supervise staff alongside the MD and HR Manager Log all consumables & maintain tool inventory General workshop admin via Microsoft Office & Outlook
