Role Overview As a Design Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in conceptualizing, prototyping, and designing medical devices, as well as developing manufacturing processes for both low- and high-volume production. You’ll work with 3D CAD software to create designs and generate essential technical documentation to meet industry regulations. You’ll also contribute to a variety of projects, ranging in size and complexity, across a diverse portfolio of medical devices. Key Responsibilities Product Design – From initial concept to prototyping and high-volume manufacturing. Manufacturing Equipment Development – Design, develop, and support production equipment. Production Validation – Assist in equipment validation and ensure compliance. Product Testing & Evaluation – Develop test methods, analyze data, and assess design performance. Technical Documentation – Create detailed reports, tolerance studies, and risk assessments. Customer & Clinician Engagement – Gather key insights to drive design improvements. Vendor & Supplier Coordination – Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to support project goals. What We’re Looking For Degree (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (HNC/HND). 2 years’ experience in product or equipment design within a relevant field. Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)—proficient in modeling, assemblies, and drawings. Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining, toolmaking, or similar practical skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry techniques. Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail and innovation. What’s in it for You?
