First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Mechanical Instructor on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Mechanical Instructor:
1. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who feels they have the right skills and attributes to pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers.
2. This position is based at the training centre in Grimsby and entails delivering high quality apprenticeship and commercial training for client companies.
Skills and Qualifications for the Mechanical Instructor:
3. Some process experience would be desirable but is not essential.
4. The successful applicant must have experience in:
5. Mechanical planned and reactive maintenance.
6. Lathe/milling machine operation.
7. Safe use of hand tools.
8. Hydraulics or pneumatics.
9. Health & safety practices and procedures.
10. A working knowledge of chemical process industry and/or CAD is desirable not essential.
11. The successful applicant also needs:
12. A minimum of Level 3 Engineering qualification.
13. Good interpersonal and computer skills.
14. Full driving licence.
15. Whilst assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills.
16. Our client is committed to safeguarding learners and successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check, and to register on a suitable instructor/teacher training programme.
Location: Hull
Salary: £37,070 – £38,637 per annum
