Job Title: Internal Sales Administrator
Reports to: Operations Manager
Our client is a leading distributor of components to the engineering industry with a customer base spanning the UK & Ireland. Thanks to a reputation for quality and excellent customer service, they have an established customer base.
Duties
1. Dealing with the daily phone, email & web enquiries and orders submitted by our customers.
2. Ensure all deliveries are despatched and processed in the most prompt and efficient manner.
3. Liaise with the Warehouse Manager to ensure all resources are utilised to their maximum potential.
4. Attend to the end of day procedure (checking of picking lists, carriage surcharge and invoicing of the despatched orders).
5. Manage scheduled order requirements and consignment stocks.
6. Liaise with the purchasing department to ensure adequate supplies are ordered to suit lead times.
7. Backorder management; check through all deliveries received and despatch all related backorders.
8. Monitor backorders regularly to ensure we have despatched everything we can and that we deliver on promised dates.
9. Follow up quotations and report feedback.
10. Provide office-based support for the Business Development Managers.
11. Submit quotations and proposals on their behalf and formulate action plans to progress leads and opportunities to successful completion.
12. Attend to general stationary requirements and any marketing & literature requirements for field sales staff.
13. Assist the Directors or other members of the management team with any other tasks that may arise from time to time.
Criteria
1. Previous internal sales experience
2. Excellent communication skills
3. IT literate
4. Ability to work on own initiative
5. Highly organised
Hours of Work
(40 hours)
8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday
8:00am – 2:00pm on Fridays
