An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at Corner House Vets!
Find a place to excel
The practice is situated in the traditional seaside town of Herne Bay, a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach, with a great range of restaurants, cafes and bars. Nearby, Whitstable and Canterbury are other popular destinations in the area. There is a direct high-speed train to London as well as easy access to the Eurostar, with the port of Dover just 40 minutes away.
Roles within this well-established team are hard to come by and we pride ourselves on staff retention and work life balance as these are a couple of our key focuses. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career so our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours will enhance your work life balance. We work our daily diary for you to have 2 hours for lunch and messages to ensure adequate time to keep on top of your caseload. The week is split 50/50 for consults and ops for all our vets.
There is no OOH and the weekends are 1:5 with the following Friday off in lieu, giving you a well earned long weekend off! We are looking for full time but flexible with either a 4 or 5 day working week. Feedback from our vets has been very positive following diary and rota changes to support work life balance.
Our practice has been refurbished to a high standard and we have an approachable established management team, who love to collate ideas with team members to make sure the practice is working well for us all.
Our full team of experienced RVNs are confident in nurse led care and will prove to be invaluable in assisting with your diagnostics, patient care and procedures.
Our high end equipment
We are an RCVS accredited practice and have recently moved tiers from Core Standards and been awarded General Practice accreditation. We are also an ISFM Silver cat friendly clinic. Our facilities include four consulting rooms, two theatres, dental suite with X-ray, ultrasound, in house lab and digital X-ray. We are an established progressive practice, with a great friendly enthusiastic team. Our USP is that we are a very stable practice that promotes excellent work life balance alongside a high standard of patient care.
Join our experienced and collaborative team
We are an established team of 4 Veterinary Surgeons with a combination of 18 years experience, 8 Nurses combining well over 35 years of experience, 1 Head Nurse with over 10 years experience and 4 receptionists with a combination of 20 years experience. We also have a long standing and accomplished Practice Director who wants to continue to develop and grow the practice. We have certificate holders and have the vision in practice of encouraging and supporting more certifications from any who hold interest in further development.
