Day Rate Contract: £150 per day until 31st July 2025
Location: Local to either Chelmsford or Cambridge
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours
Are you a UAT Tester with a customer service background, looking to be part of a small enthusiastic and passionate team?
Initially based onsite during the training, the role will move to Hybrid, requiring flexibility during testing projects.
To support the testing function by contributing to the overall quality assurance and success of project delivery and the ongoing maintenance of existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Testing the new CRM system 'Dynamics 365'.
2. Performing all system testing for new functionality and regression testing of prior functionality.
3. Using agile methodology (2-week sprint cycle) to deploy new features as part of a dedicated IT and business team.
4. Good customer service skills with regular interaction with team members.
5. Working closely with developers, BAs, and business users.
6. Working on other projects as required by the test lead, depending on workload within the CRM project.
7. Due to the nature of agile delivery, workloads will vary from one sprint to the next.
8. This is a manual testing job; no automation is involved.
9. Supporting end users to do their UAT.
10. Using ADO to manage testing and project activities, including writing and running test scripts, recording bugs, commenting and updating work items, and linking work items as necessary.
11. Regression testing of existing functionality.
Required Abilities, Knowledge & Attributes:
1. A people person with good customer service skills, as this role is people-facing.
2. Previous experience as a UAT or Manual tester or similar role, or demonstrable knowledge of testing with a desire to work as a Tester.
3. MS Dynamics 365 experience.
4. Very competent in Excel.
5. Would suit someone from a customer service background who has been a Superuser/System Tester/UAT Tester.
6. ISTQB tester qualification preferred but not essential.
7. Experience implementing testing and acting as a system expert.
8. Preferably have experience producing a range of testing-related documents.
9. High level of accuracy is essential.
10. Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to a non-technical audience, both written and verbally.
11. Positive attitude, proactive, adaptable, and a team player is essential.
12. Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, independently on own initiative.
