We are currently seeking a newly qualified Accountant to join our busy and successful Group finance team as Group Financial and Tax Accountant. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £52,000.
The Group Financial and Tax Accountant will contribute to key areas of Group accounting, providing timely and accurate financial information to Group Senior Management, as well as reporting to various external stakeholders. This is a developmental role and therefore is suited to a highly motivated and ambitious professional seeking career progression within a finance role in industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare subsidiary financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and assist in the production of consolidated Group financial statements, including the preparation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Support the Group's annual external audit process.
3. Assist in working capital oversight across the Group's dealership portfolio including internal banking limits, stock limits and weekly cash flow forecasting.
4. Support the Group Tax & VAT Manager with VAT returns, PSA, Corporation Tax payments and financial reporting tax disclosures, including coordination of tax data submissions from the Group's dealerships.
5. Provide tax guidance to dealership colleagues on exports and adapted vehicles.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
1. ACA (or equivalent) qualification preferred.
2. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with senior divisional and central finance teams.
4. Proven expertise in financial reporting, planning, and treasury management.
5. A resilient, team-oriented approach.
6. Adaptability to evolving systems and processes.
7. Proficiency in numeracy and IT literacy.
